We are seeking an experienced analytical chemist to support our growing Quality Control department. This candidate will report to the Product Release Supervisor and will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to support the quality of OTC and cosmetic products produced.
Analyze and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of OTC, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic samples from R&D, stability, bulk formulations and finished products.
Proficient in analytical techniques and instrumentation for the above testing.
Familiar with and able to operate, calibrate and troubleshoot:
Atomic Absorption (AA)
Wet Chemistry/UV spectroscopy
HPLC (Waters, Shimadzu)
Gas Chromatography (GC)
pH and Viscosity measurements
Development and validate test methods including summary reports.
Create and write Analytical Methods, Standard Operating Procedures, Validation reports, Stability reports, Out of Specification reports, and Work Instructions.
Support product development and process validations for cosmetic formulations, drug products, and chemical compounds.
Data handling, reporting, and interpretation, including use of laboratory software.
Proficient in Waters Empower software for HPLC.
Oversee stability program and stability chambers.
Stability testing, reports and trending
Quality Control testing
Test materials according to in-house methods or United States Pharmacopeia (USP), etc.
Understands and follows FDA guidelines and GLP's
Stay current with GLP's, GMP's, health and safety issues and training
Maintain laboratory reagents, standards, equipment and supplies
Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Work in teams with other chemists (R&D) and communicate effectively both with co-workers and QC director
Strict adherence to SOP's, GLP's and cGMP protocols
Knowledge of lab safety measures
Meticulous data collection and ability to maintain a lab notebook
Follows FDA guidelines and Regulatory direction
Proficient knowledge of computers and software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge of manufacturing, operations and production
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
5+ years related experience in Analytical testing
Medical Account Executive - Long Island, Westchester and Fairfield County
We are seeking an individual who is based in the Long Island or Westchester area, who is energetic, motivated, enthusiastic, and carries a minimum of 2 years documented successful business to business selling experience in Medical Sales preferably Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Medical Device sales in the Long Island or Westchester market. The right candidate must be well organized, professionally mature and sophisticated enough to multi-task in the medical community while simultaneously expanding sales, opening new accounts, managing existing accounts and utilizing available resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Essential Duties: Account Management and New Business Development
Achieve sales quotas through a mix of developing existing business, maintaining top accounts and successful acquisition of new business partners.
Effectively manage and develop existing and new accounts through new product launches, line extension, office sell through promotion plans, patient events, account trainings and business planning to meet account objectives and NeoStrata business initiatives.
Track, monitor and analyze sales data for all accounts within the territory and identify opportunities to expand offerings.
Management of Resources: Account Management and New Business Development
Plans activities within account to include profitable events, effective and motivational staff trainings, utilization of promotional programs to drive sell through and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Manages car stock within allocated budget; prioritizes resources for return on investment;
Maintains reasonable and appropriate levels of spending on supplies, meals for business groups, travel meals and all other expenses.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Consultative selling and business building experience
Business to Business sales experience in the medical aesthetic or device area preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel; experience using CRM tools to manage accounts
Licensed Esthetician a plus, but not required
Travel - occasional overnights
Lifting-approximately 20 lbs
