Concealing Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a skin condition in which there is depigmentation, or a loss of color from areas of the skin. White patches of skin begin to form when melanocytes (cells that make pigment) die or are unable to function to produce and form melanin. These patches can appear suddenly or gradually, most often on the face, elbows and knees, and hands and feet. The cause of Vitiligo is unknown and it can affect people of any age or race.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for Vitiligo and no known way to prevent it, but there are concealers and foundations from Exuviance that help cover these discolorations and provide a more even toned complexion. CoverBlend Concealing Treatment Makeup SPF 20 helps conceal vitiligo (as well as other pigmentation concerns such as blemishes, dark under eye circle, scars, redness and dark spots). By choosing a shade that closely matches your skin, you can apply this medical makeup over the lighter pigmented areas and blend in with the rest of your complexion.

Starting with a small amount, simply use your fingertips or a sponge to apply the makeup, taking care to smooth and blend it into your skin. If an area needs more camouflaging, apply a bit more makeup in a dabbing motion to build to the desired coverage.

BONUS POINTS: CoverBlend Concealing Treatment Makeup SPF 20 contains Polyhydroxy Acid Gluconolactone to help improve skin tone and diminish signs of aging while offering complete coverage. See More: CoverBlend medical makeup.
