Brighten Dark Circles

Whether they're a result of an all-nighter or heredity, allergies or sun exposure, dark under eye circles are a common concern among both men and women of all ages. Both genetics and aging can play a large role in the appearance of dark circles. Some people are genetically predisposed to having blood deposits in the delicate skin under their eyes, which cause dark circles. In addition, aging contributes to the loss of fat and collagen, as well as thinning skin, which can make the blood vessels under the eye more apparent, giving the under eye area a darker appearance. Allergies, fatigue, and exposure to the sun can also make dark circles appear darker, so to help avoid "raccoon eyes", be sure to get plenty of sleep, treat any allergies you have, and remember to wear sunscreen on a daily basis.

To lessen the appearance of dark circles, be sure to keep the eye area hydrated and use an eye cream or treatment with Polyhydroxy Acids. Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads and Exuviance Brightening Bionic Eye Creme both contain Polyhydroxy Acids, which help build the skin's deep matrix, and strengthen and normalize skin thickness, which help make dark circles less visible. Exuviance Brightening Bionic Eye Creme also contains Vitamin K that targets the weak capillaries that can cause dark circles to appear. Cosmetic studies suggest that dark eye circles begin to improve after about 4 weeks of use of Brightening Bionic Eye Creme with Vitamin K, and results show more noticeable improvement after 12 weeks of continued, everyday use.
